Welcome to the Narembeen CRC
NAREMBEEN GRAIN DISCOVERY CENTRE
Narembeen is a thriving rural community located 286kms east of Perth, on the route through York, Quairading and Bruce Rock, in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region. In the past, local community needs assessments and feasibility studies identified various issues within the town. From this, the idea formed to build an interactive, state of the art Discovery Centre. The project is the first of its kid in Western Australia; the Narembeen Grain Discovery Centre showcases a number of innovative exhibits and stories of WA's grain industry. We are looking for you to nominate someone who you think is making our community a better place. The “Above & Beyond” program will run for 12 months and nominations are required every month.
People to nominate would be someone who you think goes out of their way to do acts of thoughtfulness. Someone who is always doing that bit extra, or just did that bit extra for you! It can be anyone, from a neighbour, to the bank teller, to the local police, to the Lions club member to the shire worker, to the kid down the street.
We know that Narembeen is full of caring people and we want to publicise the fact. Too often there is negative talk about individuals and we forget all the good things people do. We want to remind everyone that there are lots of people that do fantastic things all the time.
Each month members of the CRC committee will decide on the winning nomination for that month and that person will be recognised in the Fencepost. The CRC will then award them their prize.
Please just email narembeen@crc.net.au, fax 9064 7052 or drop off your nomination to the CRC in Narembeen. Simply jot down their name, your name and what they have done that you think is marvelous.
